How is the crysis SDK btw, is it quite open with access to the lower level stuff? does it allow you to use it in conjunction with c++ or c# code?

Looks like C++ and it should be open if not doing commercial projects.

Stuff even has scaleform in it too, ridiculous.

So who wants to make a DAOC DOL client in cryengine? :P

Lol just joking wouldn't want the DOL legal-people to have a heart attack :3

I think he should just go fire everyone in the division of EA/Bioware working on DAOC still and take over, he seems to be able todo stuff better.

I Took bit bigger "project" :) .. just put few images from Camelot city to blog.
Camelot is built from 40 pieces of nif models, luckily sharing same origin point .. just takes a lot of time to convert this amount of models :)

Wow, was quite task .. added video to blog already.
It's not perfect, some models are too big to handle as one model and some double textures flickering issues ... but definitively can be exported to another 3d engine :)

Open Sauce? :) http://code.google.com/p/open-sauce/? :P

If looking terrain conversion code
It's here "old" version http://code.google.com/p/daoctocrysis/s ... vn%2Ftrunk, C++ with QT
Java version is not yet anywhere as it's not good enough, still changing code too much and I still try to figure how is best way to do this :)

Static 3D model conversion does not require anything extra, just extract mpk -> NifSkope cleanup & OBJ export -> (favorite 3D SW) -> CryEngine .. or what ever engine like to use :)

I've often said to a few of my friends that if mythic took the time to restructure the engine and even re-release it as like a daoc v2 that it would generate some serious interest. This however looks seriously interesting, shame its only eye candy atm.
