The General Rules of Stacking

Postby PlanarChaosRvrtwo » Tue Aug 29, 2017 10:34 am

I want list short the general rules of stacking mainly for me but as i do, i do it public cause maybe it helps some of you also:

Damagetype have nothing to do with stacking!!
That mean an Matter Dot and an Body Dot dont have to stack but they can stack but that dont have the reason of Damagetype.

Diffrent Spelltypes Stack!!
Damage Add for example an Grp Damage add and an Single Damage add dont stack cause they are same type BUT the Skald/Paladin/Warden Damageadd is an diffrent type and is able to stack with duration based damage adds like CL/Shaman aug / Theurg Earth / Enchanter Enhancement Damage add.
The same is True for Damage Shield and Focus Shield (note the necromancer shield is an Damage Shield with low duration not an focus Spell)
And same is also True for Base af and Spec af.

Diffrent Function Stack!!
Health Regen Buff and Health Regen spell dont stack (like cleric buff and minstrel reg spell)
Health Regen Buff and Regenerate Health Stack (like cleric buff/ Minstrel reg spell and Friar / Shaman Regenerate Health Spell)
Regenerate Health Stack with Heal Over Time (like Friar / Shaman Regenerate Health Spell and Mentalist / Vampiire Heal Over Time)
To Clear it quick what is the diffrence between those 3 Function/ Spell types:
Health Regen Buff incrase Value of the Base Regen.
Regenerate Health is an Regeneration Spell based on Small Value
Heal Over Time grants an amount of Hitpoints over a given time Period

And Dot stacking rule:
