Yes I used your keep system to make it it just wasnt set up for pvp (at the time i used it anyways) I converted it to pvp and then I also believe I was the first to actually use it the way we did... I didn't really create that just used it in an origional way.

Well, it is true. ANYTHING can be done through scripts, and I mean ANYTHING. Storm is completely scripted...

best license for such things would be affero gpl, since it also take into account hosting stuff..

i just want to say so much i think it is right people forget that dol is an project where everyone should help everyone that means also share scripts and db that the project should go forward! problem is people have become stingy and say do it on your own or shit like that. the project is here to make a good like mythic server daoc and hopefully everyone realises this. i might not be able to script and all that programming shit but I can play DAoC and see what bugs are in the game while playing. played 5 years on the real shards of mythic and will atleast help that way that this project comes forward

My Plan for dol its to help the Community if i can, and make an more like live Server for the Future and all Member who need. :)
I have no so many time, i have Famely and work as technician, all my short free Time got the dol free shared Project!


I Love Daoc and the Dol Team^^ :wink:

What DOL need is an active WIKI, with more Informations. I think a Wiki Team is a nice Idea.

And many more User Scripts, that everyone can learn from them, and the Community is more active in this section.

I think many Userscripts can be a Part of the DOlServer even they accepted from the Community and the DOL Developer Staff.

If we work hand in hand with all Freeshard Admin and publish Custom Scrips, so we can do many more as Tola can do only with the Storm Server Project can do alone.

The reason we don't use another wiki system is because it doesn't fit with the site style, and when we had it very few used it or contributed. I'm fine with updating the wiki we have and adding features but I'd quite like to keep our bespoke system.

In regards to user files this also needs to be updated, it's better now we link it to the forums but there are a few bugs on it's dedicated page.

We used to have such a feature, but we removed it. I'm not against it, it makes sense for a coding site. Again, as long as we get it themed correctly, or write our own. I'd like it.

What DOL needs imho is to join Forces with Blue over on Uthgard and make that server the best possible shard it can be. If you look at the past year or so, the vast majority of DOLprojects have gone and disappeared and are generally dominated by foul-mouthed teens and cheaters (dominivm, faith, ...).

I love the idea of DOL, but I don't think it has a great future without having one flag ship server that really recreates the spirit of the game (Strom imho never really caught on, not sure why). And Uthgard is the only server that has really maintained a large, stable user base over many years. Yes, it enforces a classic setting - but with the small player base daoc has these days, I am fine with leaving the live setting to the live server, actually. But for Uthgard to really reach that goal and become feature complete, I think they really need some capable Devs - which DOL still has, I think?

Well, my 2 cents anyway :)
