Hello Tolakram,
Hello Ephemeral,
well, maybe there is some cleanup necessary but when I understand Tolakram right, the current system works fine with hybrids by making the last, powerful spell in the spellline availible to the class/player.
On the other side, the "list casters" gets all of their spells in the spellline to pick the spell they want.
As Tolakram mentioned the current system only works for spells in the same spellline.
There should be no way to use this to manage and replace spells on the bars with spell from different spelllines.
I don't think the client ever sends back which spell is on which quickbar slot.
It will just send something like "hey server, I used spell X do your work now and tell me the result!"
I think you can just send the client a packet telling him to find Spell X and replace with Y (if both spells are availible at the same time).
Hm, I cannot think of any solution without having the server know the quickbar layout e.g. Quickbar1:SpellX;SpellY;SpellZ;...
And managing every possible option with all spells given to a class is out of discussion!
Cheers,
Andocan
