Beginner's code advice needed

Hello

I've got my first server and database up and running, accessible through internet etc so that's no problem. What I'm struggling with immediately is understanding the mountain of code that's already in DOL. I barely know where to start. Most of all - I don't understand the schemas of the db and code so I'll learn by working through some examples.

Is there an FAQ or guide for some code examples I could work through?

About 50% of the game is complete, your gonna be missing mobs,items,gear,rr5s not working/updated/bugged. Your gonna be dealing with passives not working,DB messes with wrong spells,styles,names,incomplete and wrong delves.

You will run into zone crashes caused by mobs/NPCs, you will see very outdated abilities or things that should be there not.

Things like:
spamming remedy
Memories of war not working
Fury and soldiers citidal require a group lol
Pets are broke I won't even get into that entire list
Doomhammer not working
Warlocks are pre nerf
No acuity debuff on champ
No customization on race/class combos in hard code for new core (tried everything)
Stealthers new RR5s not there and their death blow abilities don't work
Animist main pet's do not follow and none of them are updated at all
BM's triple wield is the old one
Vampiirs dmg to pow ratio is messed
Stealth is messed up, MoS is screwy and camo doesn't work at all
Savage is severely outdated
Thane doesn't have endo reduction buff
Champ doesn't have endo reduction chant
SB rr5 doesn't work at all
Ranger doesn't have the evade buff like live they put in years ago
Bainshee focus doesn't work
Warden rr5 super outdated
Engage doesn't work
DW doesn't half blocking rate
Don't know if guard works
theres more and "some" can be fixed in DB

Then you have crafting NPC's,custom teleporters,crafting tools,astral weapons,CL10 or go to the updated 15,new rr5s,ML's,artifacts,mythirians,new epic gear,champ weapons,RoG's,seasonal quest items (No bunny stuff,midwinter etc)

Housing is screwed up,BD pets are fooked especially sub pets,archery is not updated some things don't work,

Then you have a slew of outdated DBs,scripts and builds to go through, advice .. load up Visual studio and learn c# like a jedi master and make sure you have xanax on hand on those times you go crazy with the bugs and crashes.
