MacroBot

Hi, I want to report a macrobot. I saw it several times and also told him not to do it, but it seems that he wont stop. For evidence purposes I recorded my observations.

I killed him via mob dragging (no response and no reaction).
He didn't release, but got auto-released.
And he still casted periodically buffs and heals for a long time (I had to go to sleep, so I only saw him do it for an hour).

My behavior might be mean, but it's the only thing you can do when no GM is around and let's face it, a bot has no feelings :p.

Not sure on the stance to take for this, I don't mind it personally. If he has the characters, and the ability to run this automation let him get his stuff? I don't think it will harm anyone but then I'm not responsible for the server

Yea, not sure about it either. I noticed Storm RvR was at 15 players this afternoon so I figured something was up. I allow it on D2, for RvR I'll let someone else decide.

It might sound very clever but it is very easy to achieve (via PKP or AutoIt and so on), so everybody can do it and this will put some potential user off for sure. I think this behavior is a community killer. Not only effectively occupies this a spot (well not a big issue as long as only one/few is/are doing it), but it is also a bad sign for any player that sees this. It's just a bad example IMO.

If you allow one guy to do it you force everyone to do it. Others will just feel in disadvantage since they invest time of their life which the cheater does not which in turn will create an unfair situation where the honest player gets angry about.

Spoke with Baradien the other day. And i have not done anything like it since, still running my large setup. Just not while im afk

Just for completeness - you haven't been kicked for being afk, but for automation.
And you actually noticed that someone was at the spot and even moved your bombs to kill steal, so yeah that is even a lie.

Only reason you were at that spot, was to kill me.. And when you realised if was there.. And you could not kill me.. You just took from the place i was, after trying to kill me.. While i was playing my chars
