DOL Server - Package: install help?

There was no readme with the package (that contains the database and server and MySQL etc). So when the setup guides online here say to do this and that and start the server and it should work, it doesn't for me with the install package. It errors out on me, so I'm assuming there is something I'm missing here. Is there a more updated install guide for the package release?

EDIT: I was able to do the subversion and get that running with an empty world. Again I've searched for the next step which would be spawning the mobs and getting things working. However I can't find info on that, so I'm guessing it is done a different way than I'm thinking, and probably using different terminology, so I'm really not sure where to start here.

I realize that there is no proper guide updated for Windows, making it too often that we get this. I think when I do a have time.

Sorry for such a late reply, but I will be eventually putting it on a Linux server. I'm just seeing how it all works on my main computer as a test, configuring things how I like, etc., until I'm ready to port it over to the Linux system (I did the same with my JustUO server).

I know Linux pretty well, been using it since '98. So any guides in relation to that won't intimidate me in the least.

EDIT: Also, would Mono 4.0 be compatible with this server? I'm guessing it would?

Sure.
But first make and learn how to use about your server on Windows.
When you masterize that you'll can works it on linux.
It's just my personnal hint.

Here is my up to date guide for DOL and Mono 3 (using Gentoo, but tested on Ubuntu successfully some months ago)

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work with Mono 4, anyway most trouble are compile time, if you use byte-code directly you shouldn't have any trouble
