Almost there, or maybe not even close?

Hi guys, it's been a while since I last had my own test server up and running. I'm trying to setup my own test server and have spent hours yesterday trying to figure out what I had done wrong. Anyhow here is my problem:

Dol portal connects to my db, but for some reason I can't pass the character creation. Every time I try to enter the game after creating a character I get this message: (added a jpg)

What I've missed?

Dol db: 1.9.6r306
Client: 1.901

You must setup the Startlocation in db or set to default in your serverproperties.

I hope this is the only problem

Could you please be more specific? All I can find is a row in my db : server: use_custom_start_locations which is set as default to False. My startuplocation table is empty. At this moment I wouldn't know how to add a specific safe loc (for example if I'd like to create an albion character) using that table. So any help with this would be awesome.

Hi Natas.
1. Extract the attachment
2. Import sql file on your database.
2. Delete your character and recreate it. (In database (dolcharacters table; or in-game on character selection screen if you can view it)

The startup locations should be imported on any server using latest Revision...

By the way this script Should auto-fix any wrongly created character : https://github.com/Dawn-of-Light/DOLSha ... cations.cs

Judging by the output of your log you should have it in your scripts

I wouldn't be surprised if I missed a thing or two on the way, but the server is now up and running

I can now do some exploration and testing while (hopefully) learning during the process
