I have become a Linix enthusiast over the last couple years and have a few Q's..
How does the daoc client work using WINE?
Is there a linux compatible version of dol server or has it been used with WINE?
Just wondering...
(Experienced answers only plz :P)

I have played daoc on WINE before, you have to use the lowest graphics, but it didnt lag much at all (was a low grade laptop i got for free i used to learn a little linux on) I know people HAVE done servers on linux, and if i remember one of the biggers Origin? Uthgard? Eden? one of them i think, ran on linux.

You can only run daoc on wine winthout Catacombs models.
To make it run regedit on a terminal and create/modify
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\MaxShaderModelPS to 0

So all games runned on wine will be affected so you can make a wineprefix to counter this.
