Help With NPC/player colors

Postby Lyrn » Fri Aug 29, 2014 5:29 am

http://prntscr.com/4hjx4o - that is a lightshot screen shot guys, it bestows no harm to your computer. I know exactly what this error means, just not how to fix it. I copied an AbstractServerRules.cs into my NormalServerRules.cs (The config. setting I currently use) and I don't know where to find the keyword entry it speaks about... can I change the name color of friendly players to (live-like) blue ? Or is everyone forever mistaken for vaders ? :/ ~ Thanks in advance !

Client Color Scheme are Hardcoded I think...

Sending this value just enable different scheme, there should be a value for PvP server type, PvE server type and Normal server type...

This should enable color handling as you can observe them on official server, there is no customization options to my knowledge ;)

Hiya Leo, thanks for the reply ! My server type value is set to Normal currently. Friendly NPC/Player names still remain colored by NPC level, and players names with "Vader" red. Is there a way to make Friendly NPC/Player name colors like they would be on live ? or will I just have to settle ?

P.S I just thought of something, If I move AbstractServerRules.cs to my scripts file in my DEBUG gameserver folder will the server use that ruleset ?

Abstract is not a rule set, it's just the base for other rules.

Are you sure you are set to Normal and using the normal ruleset? npc's set to realm > 0 should be friendly, if set to realm 0 they are mobs, regardless of class.

I'm positive Tolakram, http://prntscr.com/4horx8 . That's an SS from my config, and no matter what the NPC's realm is 0,1,2, or 3. /mob peace is on and the NPC remains colored even after relogging. The same remains with players. Set to the Normal server rules all friendly players remain with Invader colored red names.

Maybe it's stupid but have you tried with a non-Plvl'ed account ?

Sometime being a Plvl 3 (Admin) really change how the server handle what is sent to this client.

Let me boot up and try that now Leo.... http://prntscr.com/4i4caj - Loading in on a normal player account and the Buffbot is Friendly, but still red. I knew something was not right. I literally checked everything before I came to you guys because I know how good ya'll are at this stuff and there was literally nothing that would cause this.
