Creating a Server (Help Please?)

I'm trying to learn how to set up a DoL server to play. Could someone help me understand how to do this? I am not the most computer savvy person.

If your not very good with computers/programming you will not get very far with DOL. don't let that discourage you though take small steps and you will learn a lot.

I am trying to configure a server myself to help learn about the various scripting, c# and anything else that may or may not go into creating a server. however I don't quite understand the articels that explain how to do it. I have downloaded SharpDevelope 4.0, Tortoise SVN, HeidiSQL. I have also already used tortoise SVN checkout with this address: http://svn.code.sf.net/p/dolserver/code/DOLSharp/trunk/
how ever I am at a loss as to what I do next. Please give some detail
