Pets swinging with the offhand.

I haven't figured out how to make them do this. They duel wield it's just they never swing it, DB is set at swing offhand as well and doesn't change anything. They style just fine also so whats the issue?

If you check the logs, does it ever deal the combat damage twice? Perhaps they are swining with the offhand but the animation is missing? (Put the chance to 100% and see if it doubles the amount of hits)

I tried the 100% the animation shows 2 however only one ever hits. Even styled or unstyled it doesn't change.

I'm starting to think pet's can't actually DW style.Then again maybe it can be scripted in I dunno.

From what I remember it's probably something going wrong in the Dual Swing Attack Code.

There are some "Weapon Properties" checked that prevent NPC from going all the way to a "successful" offhand hit...

First thing : I'm pretty sure Dual Swing Code can't handle bare-hand attack so NPC need a Weapon Item Template even if its ModelID = 10 (hidden weapon)

Second thing : Weapon Template may be checked for "item type", if it's a Shield a Weapon and even maybe a "Left Hand Weapon", this check will mostly fail with a NPC weapon which is only a "Model", it won't have this type of properties set correctly

Last thing : I managed once to make pet Dual Swing (Heavily patching the Attack Code), it was never deeply tested, and the first tryouts showed that Off-Hand damage was way too high (about double damage from Main Hand, and NPC have no DPS or Quality checks on their weapons...)
This patch would have been great to enhance some PvE encounters, but the patch was mainly targeted at giving some Pet Class their fully featured Pet and it would have imbalance their effectiveness !

This is what I have been working on, the poor pet spec lines and the pets themselves vanilla are really a non factor. I am trying to make the pet spec lines viable, so far I have BC kickin it only if you spec 50 though. SM,chanter and cabby working on now.
