Hi everyone,

i'm having some random client crashes on my server with that log in the gameserver log.

i still not understand if there is an action that generates this because every time players involved in this crashes are in different situations and seems to be very randomly.

has anyone seen this type of crash ? Can be something related to client computers instead of the server?

There is a way/method to get more info about these crashes ?

Any help/input is appreciated ;)

I have seen this once, not quiet sure what could cause that. It could be client corrupted zone file or game.dll, it may be also weird nasty bug in gameplayer.cs
Just my 2 cents.

Yes , probably some corrupted files in the client. But i'm still investigating to find out a solution and help players who have this problem.

It's really weird and very random some players seems have solved this updating their clients but other still some have this issue.For this reason i'm still search if it can be a server-side bug.

Only a couple of players said me that this happen while they alt-tabbing the client to desktop..for another cases i don't know, it's very random and there isn't a specific action that causes that.

someone else has ever seen this type of client-crash on his server or can suggest me how to get more information from this crashes?

The only documentation i found is about the gamespelleffect lists of the UI and maybe that animation of giant that is corrupted . But still i can't find who call that harcoded thing

Uhm where?

This is the critical.log of a player who sent me after the crash. I asked to clean his log before the crash.

The crash log advert it can't read some files, so i think client folder permissions do not allow to read for standard user.

So do you patch the client for works with your server ?
i can't find those files even in very old clients.... where can i find them?

is there a way to understand which effects id are so maybe if i not retrieve the files i'll change the effect

The problem is. This clients crashes very randomly sometimes wihout any action around. It's really weird

The only reasons are permissions problems, missing or corrupt files.

I found it.

There were 3 bad effects that cause the crash using fresh live clients with 1.109 dll. I run a foreach of every clienteffect and anims i had in my spell and style tables on a target and i found out the bad id.... seems solved for now.
