I visited Alteri freeshard.
I saw that CL15 weapons were available. How did the admin do ?
Can someone explain me this ?

He probably just made a new weapon for each class, and used the ServerProperty to raise the CL Cap to lvl 15

most likely made them by hand. As for models, some of the CL15s are in dol. i've found the item models messing around on my shard. but some of them wonk out and have mobs as the weapon effect!

The models would be in the client, not in DOL, all you have to do is guess the correct model number.

That said it won't work on every client, only on versions late enough to have the new models.

Remember that DOL does nothing except tell the client what to do.

Put this mob here and use this model, play this animation, make this mob walk, change this mobs health to this, etc. If something is not available in the client the results are random, sometimes a client crash, sometimes you're holding a giant bag, sometimes a plain white block.

I was sure it was with the client. But now, I have a new question :

I heard about "sniffing" packets from official server.
What does it give when we do this ?
How can we do it ?

And an other question.

If I have the new client and get a working dol code with this one.
How will I be able to set for example :

Arms man CL15 weapon in dol must shows the players with the item X in the client ?

I really don't have any knowledges about those things (client /core interaction) but want to know more about it )

You should use the MKV viewer tool which DOL provides to open .mpk from the client to get info about Spells,Styles,Items etc

If I remember well, there are also item models stored there, just make sure you're getting MPKs from the latest client.
