Hello,

I did a setup of local server for testing DOL - unfortionatly i reached a point where i dont know how to proceed.

- DAoC Client with version: v1.122b
- Database DoL 1.9.6r3061
- DOLLoader for connecting to the server
I tried the latest pre-build version of the DOL server and as well as a local build form the master branch on Git.

What i have to mendtion is that i tried a couple of possible things, like hardware crc off and what not. But i can even reproduce it between different PC and VMs or just on localhost... so i guess its somehow a problem with the crc.

Issue is, if i connect with my client to the server, the server dropps the connection due to failed CRC. This error message describs it:

The part makes me worry is:
Bad TCP packet checksum (packet:0xEA05 calculated:0x6C8E)

So i searched for it on the DOL sources, extracted the part and issulated the issue in a small program for testing... and at least it is reproducable, but i have no clue how to fix it....

Maybe someone has an idea how to make the DOL CRCs fitting to the client? (or do i need other client?)

hey i could be wrong but i believe DOL only supports up to game.dll version 1.109

Ok, thanks for the response. So that means for my problem i need to exchange the game.dll in version 1.122b with the 1.109 and it should work?

And as i now understand the context, i guess i should take it from this post?

You need to change also the New Frontiers files.

OK, so i exchanged the DLLs and the connect works now. Some acc was created automatically (as it was configured like it) and i was able to create a char which was although stored to the DB - which is great for first.

The next blocker is now after i try to enter the game, i have tried to understand the package in/out stuff, but i guess it would take quite a while without knowlege about it...

You need to change also the New Frontiers files.
I didnt touch the New Frontiers files so far, is this related to the issue? What i need to do?

Delete the character and recreate.

You will see Keeps and Tower white witouh 1.109 NF files

Ok did it, but the error is the same :(

From where can i get the 1.109 files?

Observing the traces of the server, i found something there are a lot of error traces from sql interaction, some of them looked like false-positiv errors, BUT within all of them there are some about the startup location:

Could this be a reason?.... I mean the "startuplocation" talbe on the DB is empty... most propably it is the issue, what can i do against it? What shall i place as default value?

I did another test by just deleting all the tables from the DB and afterwards letting the server create them... they look full different to the database i downloaded from sourceforge :(

Can you push an updated database to sourceforge which fits with the latest DOL Server (or one which will work with the prebuild server)?

Worked, most of the red errors are gone now, thanks!
I've posted a 1.109c FR Client here.
Downloaded it and i'm able to join now, thanks :D ... but i dont understand a word french, can i switch this somehow to EN or DE? ;)

DOL dint only gaved me the data to start my server,

Downloaded it and i'm able to join now, thanks :D ... but i dont understand a word french, can i switch this somehow to EN or DE? ;)

Yes i know, the client from HunabKu is already a the 1.109, but its in french - how can i change the language?
