After delaying and fixing some bugs that would totally hurt the low level guys, this DB is pretty much a rushed release for everyone. There are bugs, there are things that are clearly being worked on, but... This DB is loaded with great stuff, fully playable and persistent. Thank you DJSniperWolf. Did you use Dolpubdb alpha 3.1 for this release ?
If not, how they differ ? I'm looking for the best DB to package, and wondering what should i choose for.

For Record : Pub DB Alpha 3.1 was one of my own merge of DJSniperwolf previous release, with MisiMouse release, with older Pub DB release

This was a quick and dirty job and wasn't even updated for Data Career...

And 3.1 alpha was indeed the most complete and up-to-date at its time

I am persistently working on this and I often compare it to other DB's that are made available. I can go over the changes so they can easily be differentiated.

1. I have begun the process of creating redundancy amongst the ID's of path points. Every new server release would always break these, thus I revised all path points with specific ID's related to it's purpose. This will help users in making changes to the DB without having to request help. Paths and Pathpoints will reflect this, it's beautiful.

Examples:
(wp_mithra_goblin1) <--Roaming goblin in mithra
(hs_cotswold_castlesauvage) <--Horse path from Cotswold to Castle Suavge

*This marks one of the biggest differences as it will not play nicely will older versions, item templates link to a different pathpoint id, etc.

2. Artifacts are populated and I am about 90% complete on linking the scrolls to each artifact. Still have to input the book itemtemplates into DB.

3. Lots of cleanups of dirty objects, non existing items such as tickets, test items, etc.



If you'd like to package the DB, I'd say to wait for my next release! I can have it up by tonight/tomorrow. It will contain much more of my noted changes above plus other great updates.

Hi,

I've used this on my server based off an empty DB, all loads OK, but in game the trainers do not work.

They show as friendly when clicked on but no trainer window opens.

Any ideas most welcome.

Do you have an error and/or a non working trainer when you create a generic trainer:
/mob create DOL.GS.GameTrainer

I have checked the /mob info on the exsisting Trainers and Healers that populate the server when loaded.

They seem to have the wrong class assigned to them DOL.GS.Player,

I have set the correct class to the trainers but can not work out the other classes, would anyone have a list of the class names/id's please?

You can simply browse the sources, you 'll have them all. Generally DOL.GS.Trainer.ClassnameTrainer (case sensitive).

Very odd, in any case. I will look into this now and apply a fix if this is indeed true. I have a release to be done by tomorrow that will also include said fix.

Sorry for the late reply, just finally getting settled in over here But, please! Don't feel that you have to re class anything. Those NPC's should be working out of the box.
