open item does not work Merec. when i use open item from DB, i can enter the object i am searching for, and it is found. but when i doubleclick it or use the load button then nothing happens.

i created an item called testitem and i had also set frname to testitem, alas.... its not written in to the table. its nothing that really burns, but whenever you have the time for it.....

Try to set default frname value to null until Merec patch it.
I concient that it does not create frname but ...

do you have added ' at end of Item_Template' ?
If not it's an error in merec code.

Can you tell me exactly, what the problem is?

as i said, the FRName text is not written in to the DB. i can enter it in the creatorsuit, but as soon as i save the item the FRName field blanks out and is not written to the according FRName field in the table itemtemplate. i checked it twice. but as i said, its nothing thats burning me for now.

However, I can not reproduce it.

If you load an item from DB where the field FRName is filled already, that loads well and updates again well. Only saving a new item and updating an item where the field FRName in DB is not filled yet won't save the FRName field. Hope that helps you a little further.
